Acne Studios celebrated the opening of its highly anticipated Los Angeles flagship store with an exclusive two-part event, bringing together fashion insiders, Hollywood stars, and cultural tastemakers. The 5,000-square-foot store, located in the iconic Eastern Columbia Building, served as the stylish backdrop for an evening that perfectly blended Swedish minimalism with downtown L.A.’s emerging creative energy. The night began with an in-store cocktail reception, where Christina Hendricks, Kiernan Shipka, and Miranda July browsed the latest collections while sipping champagne and sampling Swedish-inspired treats.

The festivities continued a block away at the not-yet-opened Ace Hotel, where a lavish dinner awaited guests in the historic United Artists Theatre. The atmosphere was electric as Mena Suvari, Alex Israel, and Lawren Howell dined beneath gilded ceilings, while performances by boyChild and DJ Victor Rodriguez entertained the crowd. Acne Studios' chairman Mikael Schiller toasted the brand’s bold move into downtown L.A., sharing how he defied skepticism to secure the prime retail location. The celebration marked not only a major milestone for Acne Studios but also a pivotal moment in the revitalization of L.A.’s Broadway corridor.
